Infrastructure service contract
How a global retailer put its datacentre servers under one SLA-backed infrastructure service contract, with first-level on-site escalation support and spares in place before anything fails.
Build · IT infrastructure
IT infrastructure services for Indian enterprises whose compute and storage have outgrown the design they were bought for. NetScale assesses what you run, designs the refresh or extension, deploys it and stays to support it. Every configuration and credential is handed over as yours.
IT Infrastructure
Enterprise IT infrastructure is the compute and storage your applications run on: servers, storage arrays and the platforms under them.
NetScale designs, deploys and supports it, sized from an inventory of what you run rather than the original purchase. When hardware nears the end of vendor support, the choice to refresh or extend is made system by system, in writing.
Where the servers physically run, and colocation in India, sit under Data centre and colocation.
Running the estate remotely, with monitoring and restores tested on a schedule, sits under Remote infrastructure management (RIM).
The hardware outlived its support. Everyone knows, and it still runs. What’s the plan for when it doesn’t?
Our answer: Sized from an assessment
Storage was sized for the estate you had. Who sized it for the one you run now?
Our answer: Enterprise IT infrastructure
New servers are configured by whoever installs them. Where is that written down?
Our answer: Deployment and rollout
A disk fails on a Sunday night. Who holds the spare?
Our answer: Ongoing support
Design, deployment and ongoing support of enterprise compute and storage, sized from an assessment of what you actually run.
Installation, configuration and data migration in fixed-scope phases, each tested before go-live and signed off before the next begins.
An inventory of servers and storage, with measured use, end-of-support dates and single points of failure, written before anything is specified.
Monitoring, maintenance, spares, and AMC and OEM renewals under one owner, in support windows and response times agreed in writing.
Each phase adds a layer to the same estate.
You can stop at any phase boundary. The assessment is free, and each phase is priced in writing before it starts. How we engage
The Directions of 28 April 2022 require logs of all ICT systems for a rolling 180 days, kept within India. Servers and storage log to a store in India, with clocks synchronised to NIC or NPL time.
From 13 May 2027, the DPDP Rules require personal data and its processing logs to be kept for at least a year. Storage and backup are sized for that retention, and for erasure once the purpose is served. Legal interpretation stays with your counsel.

Share of the estate past vendor support, and whether it is refreshed or extended under contract.
Compute and storage capacity, sized from measured use rather than the original purchase.
Site count, and whether an on-site engineer or stocked spares are part of the service.
Support window and response times, agreed in writing.
The most relevant engagement, with its numbers. Client names and the full write-up are shared in conversation.

Routing, switching and data centre fabricAn inventory of your compute and storage, with end-of-support dates, single points of failure and what an outage of each would cost. An engineer runs it with your team. It costs nothing, and the written findings are yours whether we ever work together or not.
It depends on what an outage of that system would cost, set against parts availability and the workload it carries. The assessment lists each component with its end-of-support date and outage cost. The choice is then made system by system, not for the whole estate at once.
From measured use, not the original purchase. The assessment records what each system uses today: compute, storage and how fast each is growing. The design is sized to that, with the headroom stated in writing, so you can see what each part of the specification is for.
An annual maintenance contract (AMC) covers labour and service; a comprehensive maintenance contract (CMC) also covers parts. Which one fits depends on the age of the hardware and whether the OEM still supplies spares. The assessment says which fits each system, in writing.
Yes. Most estates are built by several vendors, and we take them on as they are. We document what is installed and agree the support window and response times in writing. Then we take over the AMC and OEM renewals, so the estate has one owner.
It costs nothing and commits you to nothing. You get a written list of where your IT environment is exposed, and your team can act on it with or without us.
